One Month
Two days ago was my one month birthday. I can’t believe how big I’m getting!! I’m already over 20 inches long and 7.5 pounds – that’s a pound bigger than I was when I was born! Of course, the past month has been very eventful. I spent my first couple of days in the hospital, where I had lots of great visitors. My mommy and daddy were so proud to show me off that they invited all of their friends to come meet me. I was still pretty tired from being born (you try being pushed out of your warm, cozy home thru a tiny hole into a cold, dry world!), so I was quiet during the day.
After the visitors left, I woke up and wanted to play that night. Mommy and Daddy were not very interested in playing. I think they wanted to sleep, but how could we sleep when there were so many new things to look at and when I was so hungry?!
My first few weeks at home were a bit of a blur because I was so hungry. I spent most of those days with my mommy on our living room couch. Some nights, I would sleep for four hours at a time, but most nights, I didn’t want to sleep more than two hours. I am growing, people! I have to eat! Since it’s been so hot here in Los Angeles, I haven’t gotten outside much, but we’ve been on a few walks around the neighborhood and out to lunch.
I’ve also spent this month making my parents laugh at my funny faces.

My dad says that he’s going to show this video to boys when I’m older…that’s just rude.

Last week, I received my first letter with my social security number. I wonder what my credit score is right now…
Last week, I finally figured out how to focus my eyes and have been gazing into Mommy and Daddy’s eyes ever since.
This past weekend, I discovered how to smile, which makes my Mommy and Daddy very happy.
It’s been fun out here!!
